Pillowy creatures of the sea
With silk strips draped across their form,
Beautiful, soft, lovely, warm.
Enticing glow in the dark
And glossy shine in the light.
Pretty afar, lovely in sight;
Gliding oh so angelic,
A holy jellyfish in the blue
Feels like a blessing in my view.
Dark depths hard to handle
They light up like a candle,
Bells spark a flame
And the tentacle smoke
Cannot be tamed,
A cloudy shielding cloak
Follows behind their glow.
They swarm like fireworks of the sea;
Iridescent creatures they be.
Watercolor wonders make me gasp-
Colors beyond what I can grasp!
What lovely creature of the blue,
Jellyfish, a beauty so true.
Description:
This poem is inspired by the romanticism poetry I often adore. I have a sort of fixation on jellyfish, so I thought I’d write this as a tribute to them. The language I used uses various symbolism and imagery to help keep the reader engaged.
