Young Chemists Workshop

This workshop serves as a tutor-guided introduction to the essential concepts of Chemistry and a foundation for the curious students' self-exploration in the field afterward.

Class Schedules

Day 1  4 PM – 5 PM EDT Mon Aug 8: Atom Structure

Day 2  4 PM – 5 PM EDT Tues Aug 9: Element section

Day 3  4 PM – 5 PM EDT Wed Aug 10: Diagrams of Atoms

Day 4  4 PM – 5 PM EDT Thur Aug 11: Ionic Bonds

Day 5  4 PM – 5 PM EDT Fri Aug 12: Ionic Bonds (continued) and Covalent Bonds

The workshop focuses on theory learning, and each day ends with a quiz. The program is designed for students entering Grade 6 to Grade 8 this fall, subject to the student's actual level in science. Children younger than the recommended age group may find it challenging to engage with the instructor simply because the program is not designed for their ages.

The Young Chemist workshop spans over five days in the second week of this August. One hour per day, from 4PM to 5PM Eastern Time. Your children may choose one or up to five days which fit their schedules. You may choose which day(s) your children attend in the Registration Form that later pops out.

There is no supply list for this workshop besides the standard equipment for an online class.

This workshop is free.
